Cut-out

I've had my PM7200 for about five years now and have been more than satisfied with it. However, yesterday I put on a CD and the sound started to cut-out. You hear a small "click" from the amp and then it cuts-out. After a few seconds, it may come on again but then cuts out once more. I experimented with my other components and discovered that the problem occurs with all of them. The problem only occurs when the amp's volume is set above a certain level - around "9 o'clock" on the dial. Does anybody have any suggestions? ...
