Inoperable controllers

Bought 2 of the Micron Mini Gamecube Controllers for the Wii. Neither will work. Both recievers were plugged in individually, and neither would work. Both controllers have new batteries. Reciever light is lit and steady, controllers light flash when turned on... Any suggestions??...
