Bobbin thread

Bobbin thread is not being directed under the sewing deck to the needle. As far as I can tell, I have loaded the thread per the instructions, but the fly wheel doesn't catch the thread to bring it around to the needle. What am I doing wrong?...

Defective Euro-Pro Model 8260

The plastic thread holder broke off and while trying to adjust the bobbin tension, the screw fell out. I was having to use a screw driver to hold he thread in place. The sewing machine would not stop gathering own the bottom side of the fabric not matter what I did, I changed the thread, adjusted the tension, checked the threading, nothing I did seemed to correct the problem....

how do i change the needle? it seems that the release screw does release the needle
